What are you looking for when browsing potential accommodation for your upcoming Asian dream getaway? Healthy breakfast menu? Comfy beds? Central location?
This all sounds reasonable, however – don’t we all love a good photo-opp?
We hand-selected our favourite photo settings from luxury resorts and villas around Thailand. So it’s time to start dreaming of Pad Thai, working on that dream body and charging your camera… and maybe cautiously preparing the Instagram husband for his next job! 😉
ANI VILLAS, KOH YAO NOI
Well, isn’t this a sight for sore eyes! American beau Zack Kalter seems quite impressed by this guy creating the perfect photo-opp. With the serene background of Ani Villas on Koh Yao Noi we can think of a few poses we’d like to find ourselves in.
The stunning 10-bedroom beachfront @anivillas enclave not only offers complete privacy (or not – if you’re spending your vacation here with newborns and grand parents) but also your very own water slide. You heard right! No more waiting in line, this is your ultimate childhood dream coming true!
BAY VILLAS, KOH PHANGAN
You can choose to either show your best pose on one of @bay_residence‘s endless daybeds (admit it: watching those Snapchat videos of Victoria’s Secret models did inspire you) or take posing to the next extreme sports level.
Tropical coconut groves surround Bay Villas on Koh Phangan and its hillside location offers stunning views over the photogenic waters of the Gulf of Thailand and beyond. It’s only the pre-social media generations who don’t instantly whip out their smartphones.
SRI PANWA, PHUKET
Sri panwa, a luxury hotel & spa resort in Phuket, definitely ticks our “I-need-a-new-cover-picture-for-Facebook” box for the perfect location. Put on your straw hat* and latest bathing suit and become one with the breathtaking interior and exterior at @sripanwa.
Located on top of Cape Panwa peninsula, it’s a reasonable drive from Phuket airport but far away from all things, well, touristy.
*Works also on bad hair days
AMATARA RESORT & WELLNESS, PHUKET
Jump into the hot tub at Amatara Resort & Wellness in Cape Panwa – and nope, don’t fill it up with warm water and nicely smelling flowers. It’s time to challenge your inner model and get the Instagram husband to pick up the DSLR and create some nice shots for the family album @amatararesort. And honestly, when has breakfast ever looked this good?
POINT YAMU BY COMO, PHUKET
You may have come across the most photogenic umbrellas in Thailand on your social media feed already – following @comohotels #pointyamubycomo. It’s without doubt the best place to show off your shoulder blouse and newly acquired tan.
The luxury resort is located at the tip of Cape Yamu, overlooking the Andaman Sea and the dramatic limestones of Phang Nga Bay.
