There are three flights a day from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar (DPS) to Sumba Island’s Tambolaka Airport (TMC).  Flights can be secured for you including VIP lounge access at both airports (an administrative fee applies). Alternatively, you can arrange your flights directly with the airline.

All international departures must travel via Bali (DPS). There are regular flights with Garuda Indonesia (below) although most of them depart in the morning, thus an overnight stay in Bali is often required the night before for international travellers.  The Asia Collective can also assist you with connecting flights between Bali and Sumba at the following cost: Roundtrip Economy from USD 550 net per person, which includes airfare,  VIP lounges at Denpasar and Tambolaka airports, baggage allowance up to 30 kg, airport taxes, baggage handling, and roundtrip transfers airport to the resort (please note prices are subject to change). If you prefer to book directly with the airlines, the resort can arrange transfers between Tambolaka airport and Nihi Sumba at USD 425 for a private transfer or USD 250 for shared car transfers.

All foreign travellers to Indonesia need at least six months remaining on their passport as well as one full clean page for the visa on arrival stamp. This is strictly reinforced: Guests will not be allowed to board the plane in their departing country if this is not adhered to.
