COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT, SEMINYAK
- Prices start at approx. 225US$ for a Deluxe Double. BOOK NOW!
The Courtyard by Marriott is perfectly located, just off the main road in the Seminyak hustle and bustle – which was an immediate plus for me! The staff were beyond friendly and always smiling. They completely catered to my needs even going above and beyond when needed. The facilities at Courtyard by Marriott Seminyak were spectacular – the pool bar with the finest cocktails, the gym fully was equipped with the latest workout machines, the room we stayed in was modern, the aircon was strong and the staff always left the room immaculate.
The buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing – literally offering everything you could ever imagine eating for breakfast – we tried the lunch menu too and everything we ordered was 10/10. The food was quite westernised but that was to my liking. The vibe at the resort was laid back and chilled and in the afternoon you could get involved with their activities, including bingo which was really fun! Of course it was optional, but the staff were so friendly and did a good job of getting everyone to join in. This led us to interacting with other guests and meeting new friends – amazing! Oh, and did I mention the Taco Truck out the front? It doesn’t get much better than that!
NYUH BALI VILLAS, SEMINYAK
- Prices start at approx. 200US$ for a 1-bedroom villa. BOOK NOW!
Nyuh Bali Villas offered a great location, just behind the Bali Deli in Seminyak. From the moment I walked in the staff were super friendly and made sure I was shown to my room and everything was to our liking.
It is a traditional modern Bali villa in its interior and food cuisine. If you are looking for a quiet and idyllic holiday destination – Nyuh Villas in Seminyak would be your go-to. The villa’s outdoor area is shaded for half of the day, ideal for children! They have beautiful facilities including a large spa bath and a beautiful outdoor shower.
TAC TIP: Book yourself in for a spa treatment during your stay – a traditional Balinese massage will take your relaxation to the next level!
THE JUNGALOW, CANGGU
- Prices start at approx. 140US$ for a 2-bedroom villa. BOOK NOW!
Wow, wow, wow, WOW. If any of my friends were interested in trying out Canggu, The Jungalow would be first on my list of recommendations. The 3-story villa’s vibe was cool and super stylish. It was modern and fun but super luxurious.
The first story had a super cool kitchen and lounge room set up with a bedroom and a bathroom! It was super spacious and the bathroom was definitely a highlight! Its big doors open up onto the pool with an outdoor shower and 2 sunbeds! I found the bottom level got sun for ¾ of the day – and for the other ¼ you just had to make your way up to level 2!
Level 2 had another spacious bedroom with a beautiful bathroom and an outdoor area with a big sun bed in the shade, and 2 more sunbeds! It also has a big outdoor seating area to sit around for food and drinks. And don’t forget about the rooftop! My friend and I spent one night up there with wine and a cheese platter and watched the sunset. It was pure bliss! Also The Jungalow’s location is perfect! Only minutes from all the cool cafes and 15 minutes from Finns Beach club! I loved everything The Jungalow had to offer and will definitely be returning here again!
FAVOURITE PLACES TO EAT:
@cafeorganicbali, Seminyak– for the most Instagram-able smoothie bowls! Don’t miss out on visiting their newly opened Canggu outlet!
@sisterfields, Seminyak – their smashed avocado is to die for!
@revolverespresso, Seminyak – you literally can’t beat their coffee!
We also loved @seacircus, Seminyak & @motelmexicola, Seminyak for our taco fix and @lalagunabali, Berawa for sunset drinks.
@gingermoon_bali, Seminyak is also GREAT for dinner – the BEST duck pancakes you will ever taste.
MY 3 BALI MUST-DO’S:
2. POTATO HEAD BEACH CLUB, SEMINYAK
MY FAVOURITE SPA:
Spa Bali, just across the road from Courtyard Bali Seminyak Resort.
I SHOPPED:
The entire street of Seminyak, start at the bottom and make your way to the top! I probably did the most damage at Gooseberry Intimates.
BEST PHOTO OPPS:
The Jungalow Bali made taking photos really easy because it was set up SO cool. But all of the cafés in Canggu and Seminyak are decked out pretty cool so that makes it super easy! Do yourself a favor next time you go to Revolver Espresso on Jalan Oberoi and ask to sit out the back in the pink room! HEA V E N!
MY 3 TRAVEL ESSENTIALS:
- Bali Body – I actually use this AFTER I have sunbaked as I find if I use oil I don’t peel like I would if I used moisturizer.
- Huge beach bag! You will be surprised how much stuff you actually need to take with you when you’re going to spend a day somewhere e.g. Potato Head Beach Club.
- Hair treatment! Your hair dries out so much with the heat, chlorine and salt, so I recommend bringing one!
WHY I WILL COME BACK:
Because I absolutely loved everything about my stay! I loved the weather, I loved the food, I loved all the cool villas. For me, Bali is easy – everyone is happy, the people are super friendly and helpful. The Balinese go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as pleasurable as possible. The food that they offer is top notch! Super healthy and really fresh! The shopping is great – I honestly can’t fault Bali!
