The name of the villa, Casa Cuixa Del Cielo, which means “House Where the Sky Rests,” is a fitting description for a villa positioned on the edge of a cliff with nothing less than sheer indulgence and the most charming style.
LUXURY VILLA BEDROOMS
The villa is set cliffside, to take full advantage of the incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and the lush surrounding jungle. The property boasts 6 luxurious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, which can comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests. The large bedrooms are spacious and elegantly designed with a modern and sophisticated style that marries traditional interiors – with locally sourced materials and traditional Oaxacan motifs.
The outside shell shower was one of our favourite features of Casa Cuixa Del Cielo. The double shower heads running out of 2 large white shells combined with the electric pink feature wall backdrop was unique and beautiful.
LUXURY VILLA LIVING
Casa Cuixa Del Cielo’s open-plan living and dining areas are a perfect blend of contemporary design and charming traditional beach architecture, showcasing the natural beauty of Mexico. The cozy living room, with its vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling glass doors, allows guests to enjoy the panoramic views of the ocean while relaxing on comfortable modern sofas playing board games or watching TV.
LUXURY VILLA DINING
The villa’s dining area was our favourite! Boasting a grand wooden table and jaw-dropping traditional high palm-thatched roof. And the food was equally impressive by Casa Cuixa Del Cielo’s celebrated private chef who prepared us deliciously fresh spreads with Mexican flavours for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
INFINITY POOL & SUN TERRACE
If we has to choose one standout feature of Casa Cuixa Del Cielo it would have to be its stunning infinity pool. It’s so picturesque that we could not stop taking photos. Also in the middle of the large swimming pool is a hot tub perfect for those romantic sunsets drinks. The pool is surrounded by a spacious sun terrace with stylish white sun loungers and shade umbrellas, and dotted with gorgeous pink Bougainvillea plants.
WHALE WATCHING
One of the things that caught us by surprise was how close the whales swam to the villa. Directly in front of us with views from every angle of the villa; the infinity pool, sun loungers, bedrooms or living areas, we watched whales breach and play with their young. We even took two of Casa Cuixa Del Cielo’s paddle boards into the ocean to get a closer look and experienced an intimate encounter with a humpback whale and her baby calf.
