The Langham, Sydney
Address: 89-113 Kent St,Millers Point, Sydney NSW 2000
After landing at the airport (coming from the sunshine coast) we were a little lost on how to work with the public transport. We soon realised that easily enough the train had a straight-line route to where we were heading. A few stops later and a five minute walk from the station we arrived at our first hotel, The Langham Sydney. At the entrance sat little pink dog bowls and instantly we knew we were with the right people, dog people! From the moment we arrived we were honestly so amazed at how perfectly detailed the hotel was.
The lobby was nothing short of beautiful featuring polished marble and fresh flowers. There was even little puppy merchandise as they also accommodated for dogs to stay. Unfortunately there were no fur babies checking-in during our stay. After check-in we were escorted up to our room. We were greeted with high tea and a beautiful room that made us feel right at home. This cozy space was our home for the next 24 hours and we didn’t want to leave!
After lounging in our room and enjoying the high tea I treated myself at The Langham’s Day Spa By Chuan to finish off the afternoon. I finally had my first facial and if you haven’t already had one like myself, you are missing out. My beauty therapist Anna even recommended treatments and skin routines to help improve regular breakouts. I honestly could not recommend this enough. I’m now completely hooked on facials!
The location of The Langham is just a few minutes in each direction to the best cafes and restaurants Sydney has to offer. Burger bars, Italian, steakhouses, seafood, and anything else that makes your mouth water is only walking distance from this beautiful hotel. Our first night was spent with belly laughs at our new favorite burger bar which we had one too many cocktails at to remember its name.
The Pullman on Quay
Address: 61 Macquarie Street, 2000, Sydney
We woke up the next day and made our way to the next hotel, The Pullman on Quay. We were welcomed on arrival with a bottle of champagne and cheered to a perfect holiday. The Pullman is located on the harbour next to the Sydney Opera House and boasts insanely stunning views. After settling in I wandered the streets of The Rocks and walked over the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Lunar Park and the Sydney Olympic Pool. On our way back through the lobby we decided to spend the afternoon at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Hacienda. We ended another perfect day watching the sunset over the harbour enjoying some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.
Day two at The Pullman started with the most deliciously filling and fresh breakfast from room service which we dragged out onto our balcony to enjoy the view. After trying to fit every last crumb of our feast in, we wandered down to the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Botanic Gardens, which are both only a five minute walk from the hotel. The Pullman is the hotel to stay at if you want the perfect location. I will definitely be back again someday soon!
