A vibrant island set on the glistening Adaman Sea, Phuket was destined as the perfect location for The Asia Collective’s first team getaway. The island is known for its abundance of holiday resorts, but Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa had a certain dreamy allure about it. From its stellar staff services to beautiful surroundings, Dream Hotel is the whole package for an all-round pleasant stay.
GETTING THERE
With our weekender bags in hand, we stepped out of Phuket International Airport full of excitement and we were immediately greeted with a warm smile from our Dream Hotel driver. Our spacious ride to the hotel was a great start to the Dream Hotel experience – complete with high speed wifi (Instagram time!) and deluxe leather seats so comfortable you nearly sunk into a nap. The 30 minute trip from the airport to Dream Hotel flew by in a blink of an eye.
THE DESIGN
Dream Hotel consists of 174 guest rooms, suites and villas, all with modern and contemporary design. Its clean white exterior seamlessly blended with the lush mountain range nearby, creating endless photogenic opportunities for us to play with! From the hanging vines to palm trees surrounding the main pool, it felt like we are in a tropical oasis.
Our personal favorite was the infinity pool stretched across the rooftop, overlooking the entire hotel with views of the mountain gracefully positioned behind Dream Hotel. Spend the afternoon at the pool for a tanning and swim session, some photo opps, or just relax with an easy read and cocktail in hand!
THE SERVICE
Upon arrival, our worries quickly melted away as we were handed their signature welcome drink – pandanus leaf and butter nectar – in one hand, and a refreshing towel to cool off from the humidity in the other. From check in to check out, the Dream Hotel staff’s attention to detail, professionalism, and efficiency in organising all our needs were on point!
THE FOOD – TRILOGY
Best known for its Modern Thai, Tuscan, or Contemporary European Cuisine, Trilogy was our food heaven at Dream Hotel Phuket. The interior was simple, bright and clean with floor to ceiling glass doors blending the indoor and outdoor terrace. It also boasted a large open kitchen.
Our gourmet breakfast at Trilogy consisted of a variety of international options from Western choices such as yogurt, pastries, eggs made to order; to Asian cuisine including Pad Thai and congee. Needless to say, we were up and feasting in the early hours of the day… #noshame!
The three-course dinner at Trilogy definitely stole the show as we indulged in freshly made spring rolls, aromatic green curry with chicken also known as Keang Keaw Wan Gai, and Mango Sticky Rice to round up our palate. The perfect end to our day!
SANCTUARY SPA BY DREAM HOTEL
The Sanctuary Spa by Dream Hotel definitely lives up to its name. A hidden oasis for pampering and relaxation time, Sanctuary Spa has everything you can dream of, from massages, scrubs, facials, wraps and waxes to nail care and hair styling, all of which will leave you feeling refreshed and brand new. We opted for their popular Thai Massage, which by far was the best massage we’ve had. Without much instruction at all, our masseuse could already smooth out all the knots on our shoulders, allowing our thoughts to drift far away and fall into a deep sleep. The spa experience ended with hot towels around our neck and ginger tea for the soul – an experience we wished would never end.
DREAM BEACH CLUB
Overlooking the Andaman Sea, Dream Beach Club impressively features two pools, a restaurant for indoor and alfresco dining, and four bars. Since we were greeted by the downpour of monsoon rain shortly after we arrived Dream Beach Club, we switched our tanning session to a feasting session! As seafood lovers, we ordered Japanese Hokkaido Scallops Ceviche, followed by sushi rolls, Prawns Mango Salad, and finished with fresh coconuts and mojitos as we watched the rain pour from inside. An afternoon well spent we can all agree!
For a hidden haven close to the airport and Patong Beach, but far away from the hustle and bustle, Dream Hotel Phuket is the ultimate place to be. From its five star service and amenities to ideal location, Dream Hotel was a dream come true!
