Our all-girl team of The Asia Collective were lucky enough to spend two nights at beautiful Sri Panwa resort, perched high atop Cape Panwa and offering dazzling views of the Southeastern tip of Phuket. Sri Panwa is a tropical oasis of relaxation and luxury offering a choice of 7 pool suites, 24 one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom pool villas as well as 7 private residential properties set up to 60 meters above sea level along the Eastern and Western ridges of Cape Panwa.
The unique interior design seeks to blend in with Sri Panwa’s tropical forest, combining earthy colours and natural elements such as signature terracotta with the modern comforts of luxury living. POOL VILLAS
Days spent at the tropical contemporary designed pool villas of Sri Panwa seem to go by way too quickly. We woke up to stunning views of the Andaman Sea and its small islands from our beds which were simultanesouly surrounded by the glistening water of our very own infinity swimming pool with a jet stream jacuzzi system. After indulging in the large and most photogenic breakfast selection at BABA Poolclub, we couldn’t help but treat ourselves to a jacuzzi bubble bath overlooking our lush tropical garden with the ocean as backdrop and take a swim with our favourite pool toys from Pineapple Decay.
We ordered lunch for in-villa dining once we had worked up an appetite post-breakfast buffet and enjoyed their complimentary minibar soft drinks and snacks in the afternoon in our private ocean-view pavilion, all while listening to our favourite songs boosting through their in-house Bose sound system. Afternoons well spent! The spacious rain shower doubles up as a steam room where we spent our evenings soaking in the heat and discussed all things photo opps for the next day. A refreshing jump in the infinity pool afterwards was a must! HABITA BY SRI PANWA
The latest addition to Sri panwa is The Habita – an enclave of 20 pool suites and 10 penthouses set in the tropical forest of the resort, each coming with its own infinity swimming pool overlooking the Andaman Sea. Again, the design seeks to blend in with the natural surroundings with earthy colour combinations and the entrance rooftop being shaped in a giant wooden leaf.
We spent our last day lounging by the two-story waterfall main pool with its iconic striped sun umbrellas.
FOOD AND DINING OPTIONS
BABA POOL CLUB
The spacious indoor/outdoor building has something to offer for everyone: from a 25-meter infinity edge lap pool via a game room to BabaQ Dining where breakfast is served in the mornings. We ordered eggs of our choice, pancakes and French Toast as well as sizzling hot and cold drinks from Cappuccino to Iced Latte off the menu, and indulged in their large buffet selection for further cravings (warm chocolate chip pancakes, just saying!).
We advise throwing your latest diet resolutions overboard as you will find fresh muffins, wholesome bread, tasty Thai green curry and warm chocolate croissants all at your fingertips. A second main reception catered all personal needs.
BABA NEST
Be ready to be blown away when entering this exclusive rooftop bar perched 60 meters above sea level. We sipped on our favorite cocktails while we got lost in the amazing 360 degree panoramic views overlooking more than 12 surrounding islands, the Andaman Sea and Phuket’s southeastern peninsula.
Don’t forget to bring your camera and a dramatic dress: the view and Baba Nest’s signature striped pillows offer the perfect backdrop for an iconic shot! Kelly and Dominique wear dresses from the up and coming luxe resort wear brand KALITA.
TAC TIP: Make sure to reserve one of the twelve tables at the 360 degrees rooftop bar when making your reservation at Sri Panwa as they’re booked out months in advance!
BABA SOUL FOOD
When staying at Sri panwa, treating yourself and your loved ones to a dinner at Baba Soul Food with its compelling architectural details is mandatory.
We filled up our table with delicious home-cooked Thai food prepared with only fresh, wholesome ingredients to share. We started the culinary experience with their creamy Tom Kha Kai soup and and the Yam Woonsen Talay & Moo glass noodle salad. Must-trys from the main menu are Paneng Kae Yang (New Zealand lamb chops) and Pla Neung Ma-nao (steamed grouper with lime-chilli sauce). To round up this one-of-a-kind Thai dining experience, we highly recommend indulging in the Mango Sticky Rice dessert! #foodheaven

FITNESS CENTER
If you have indulged in one Mango Sticky Rice dessert too many or if you simply want to stay active during your holidays, a workout at the Sri Panwa fitness centre is a must. The resort boasts a tennis court, boxing ring and the most well-equipped hotel gym you might have come across, making it hard to find excuses!
A workout has never been easier with its state-of-the-art equipment, cooled electrolyte drinks, motivating music and a personal trainer by your side. Dominique and Domino got their sweat on and took a lesson in Thai Boxing with Watson – a highly professional trainer who will show you the basics but also pushes you to your limit!

You’d be forgiven for getting easily lost in the spacious tropical resort set at Cape Panwa on the tip of Phuket peninsula, but its friendly staff and local tuk-tuks always magically appear to assist with whatever wish you might have.
