MANTA RAY SNORKELLING IN NUSA LEMBONGAN

Snorkelling with the majestic Manta rays in Nusa Lembongan is an absolute must and an experience of a lifetime! The waters of Nusa Lembongan are crowded with small pink, white and translucent jellyfish propelling themselves in jerky up and down motions. This plankton filled cove happens to be prime feeding ground for Indonesia’s great Manta rays and thus has become a major Balinese scuba diving destination!

DIVING UP NORTH/PADANG BAI MANTA RAYS

Padang Bai’s geographical location places it at an ideal position for diving! Make sure to keep your camera handy! Sharks, turtles, cuttle fish, frog fish, rhinopia, robust or ornate ghost pipe fish, scorpion fish, rays, octopus or moray eels are only a few of the many marine species Padang Bai has to offer. SURFING – BEGINNERS AND EXPERTS

BEST BEGINNERS BREAKS
The best waves on the island for beginners can be found at Jimbaran Bay. The gentle crumbly waves won’t knock you around, allowing you to confidently paddle into waves to best experience the exhilarating feeling of standing up and riding a wave for the very first time.
Other beginner spots on the bukit peninsula in Bali’s south include the gentle right hand break at Padang Padang beach and the soft reform wave at Bingin beach, both during the high-tide.
*Warning: It’s advised as a beginner to only surf these breaks on high-tide when the water is nice and deep to avoid being injured on the shallow reefs at low-tide. It’s best to leave low-tide conditions to the experienced surfers.
Back in town, Old Mans in Canggu is the way to go! It’s the beach at the end of Batu Bolong, affectionately nicknamed Old Mans because it’s gentle enough for old men to surf. It’s also perfectly positioned in front of Old Man’s bar to have a refreshing Bintang right after your surf sesh.

BEST WAVES FOR EXPERTS
The best waves for experienced surfers can be found on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali’s South. Goofy footers will be in heaven with the famous left-hand break that runs from Uluwatu, to Padang Padang, Impossibles, right through to Bingin. They are all world class breaks that are consistently pumping throughout the year. There’s only 3 months from November to January where sometimes you might find the wind slightly funky. TAC TIP. The best view to take in all the surfing action is from Uluwatu’s Single Fin bar whilst indulging in a Nalu Bowl.
If you are a keen surfer and are prepared to go on a little adventure head up Bali’s East Coast, north of Sanur, to the famous Keramis right-hand break. Early mornings are best here, as the onshore winds tend to get a little strong in the afternoons.
TAC TIP: The best views of this adrenaline pumping wave are from the Kommune Hotel pool.
If you’re staying central in Seminyak or Canggu, Echo Beach is your closest first-class wave, consistently pumping with multiple left and right-hand breaks. Although it looks like a regular beach break, its actually on a shallow reef, creating a fun bowly wave perfect for professional surfers. The only downfall of Echo Beach is it’s just about always crowded because of its convenient position.
